Role: Marketing Manager

Goal: Pinayista a nonprofit community collective of self-identified Pinays sisterhood in the hustle. As the Marketing Manager, I oversaw all social media, email, and website communications for the brand.

I worked closely with the founder, Gina Mariko, and the Pinayista Core Team in launching marketing campaigns for programs and events. Notable events I had the opportunity in managing were Pinayista Summit 2021, Pinayista Summer Jamz at Kapwa Gardens, Pinayista x Cambio & Co. Wear Your Heritage, and Pinay So Fly 2021.

Creating A Digital Space For Entrepreneur and Creative Pinays

From leading heartfelt conversations through our online MightyNetworks community to creating social content that highlights power pinays to building email campaigns to inform sisters of our offerings, my time as Pinayista’s Marketing Manager allowed me to create a digital space for Pinays to be safe and connect with each other through their shared identities as WOC entrepreneurs and creatives.

I’ve had the opportunity to oversee the marketing campaigns for a plethora of Pinayista’s events — Summit 2021 being the biggest event I got to be a part of! With a marketing team of 6, I gave creative direction and project managed our biggest summit yet!

This initiative is a celebration of Pinay excellence, entrepreneurship, and creativity, bringing together a diverse community of inspiring women for a weekend of learning, collaboration, and empowerment.

Key Achievements

Strategic Social Media Graphics:

  • Led a dynamic team of 6 in crafting visually compelling and cohesive promotional graphics for the summit.

  • Effectively promoted all workshop hosts and panelists, creating anticipation and interest among the target audience.

Event Page Updates and Information Management:

  • Diligently updated event pages with timely information, ensuring attendees had access to the latest details and updates.

  • Managed event content to provide a seamless and informative experience for potential attendees navigating the event pages.

Comprehensive Social Media Event Coverage:

  • Documented the summit through engaging and real-time social media event coverage.

  • Utilized various social media platforms to share highlights, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content, extending the event's reach and impact.

Creative Direction for Branding:

  • In collaboration with founder, provided creative direction to the brand designer, resulting in a distinct and impactful event branding that resonated with the target audience.

  • Ensured brand consistency across all promotional materials, creating a cohesive visual identity for the summit.

Ticket Sales Coordination:

  • Collaborated closely with the event registration team to streamline the ticket sales process.

  • Implemented effective strategies to drive ticket sales, including targeted promotions and strategic communication through various channels.

Pinayista Summit 2021 witnessed substantial success, with heightened engagement and ticket sales. The strategic approach to social media graphics, event page management, creative branding, and ticket sales coordination contributed to a seamless and impactful summit experience. The comprehensive social media event coverage amplified the summit's reach, fostering a sense of community and empowerment among attendees and online participants.
