Role: Social Media, Community Manager, & Ad Copywriter

Goal: New to the market, Birdie Brown is a luxury liquor dedicated to representing African-Americans in the distilling industry. Our goal is to build brand awareness to help generate sales. Specific Goals include:

  • Establish a brand look for social media presence including advanced imagery, graphics, etc

  • Increase social following while nurturing engagement across platforms

  • Gain 500 followers in 6 months

  • Collect emails for future strategic email campaigns that enhance the connection between Birdie Brown and potential & existing consumers

  • Create attractive pitch decks to assist in product placement & sales efforts

  • Drive sales through Reserve Bar

  • Create cohesive influencer campaigns and determine synergistic brands for strategic

    partnerships

  • Drive sales through digital advertising — social and Google

Building A Brand On Social Media

To achieve this, I assisted in creating a strong social media presence through product photography, clear call to actions, storytelling copy, and identifying target influencers. To help promote specific sales, we created targeted promotions through Instagram, Facebook, and Google advertising.

I also conducted influencer outreach, helping introduce Birdie Brown Plain Hooch to black content creators, bartenders, and cocktail enthusiasts all over the country.

RESULTS

During Q1 of working with the client, I was able to grow Birdie Brown Plain Hooch’s brand awareness on social media, garner attention through Facebook Ads, and collaborate with influencers to spread the story behind the bottle. We were able to grow a loyal fanbase spanning all across the country.
