Role: Marketing Manager

Goal: UNDISCOVERED SF is a non-profit venture designed to jump-start economic activity and public awareness of SOMA Pilipinas. We envision incubating a batch of innovative retail concepts, award-winning restaurants, and neighborhood serving businesses that are culturally relevant, financially resilient, and adaptable to the market needs of all San Franciscans. 

I have led the UNDISCOVERED SF Marketing Team since 2022, overseeing social media, email, long-form blog content, and web communications.

Inviting People To The Party

I have led the successful execution of UNDISCOVERED SF’s event marketing since 2022. With four festivals under my belt so far, my role as Marketing Manager focuses on team coordination, creative content production, email marketing, and collaboration with stakeholders. This initiative stands as a testament to my leadership in orchestrating a team, crafting compelling content, and executing strategic marketing efforts that brought together a diverse community in celebration of creativity and cultural expression.

Key Achievements

Team Leadership and Content Calendar Management:

  • Led a dynamic marketing team of seven individuals.

  • Developed and executed monthly content calendars, ensuring a consistent and engaging online presence.

Creative Promotional Collateral:

  • Designed and produced compelling promotional materials for artists, performers, and vendors, enhancing the festival's visual identity.

Small Business Spotlights:

  • Implemented creative direction for small business spotlights, fostering community engagement and supporting local entrepreneurs.

Creative Direction for Branding:

  • Strategized an impactful email marketing campaign, reaching a substantial email list of over 11,000 subscribers.

  • Crafted engaging content to drive anticipation, ticket sales, and participation.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Coordinated seamlessly with vendor curators and music curators to ensure the effective promotion of all participants.

  • Fostered strong relationships to enhance festival partnerships and collaborations.

On-Site Coverage Coordination:

  • Collaborated with on-site photographers and videographers for comprehensive event coverage.

  • Ensured the capture of key moments, creating valuable assets for post-event marketing and future promotional activities.

The culmination of these efforts resulted in increased festival visibility, heightened community engagement, and a successful event turnout. For 2023, we produced 3 festivals bringing 176 vendors, 11,000 attendees, and $256,000 in economic development. The strategic marketing initiatives contributed to a vibrant and inclusive arts and culture festival experience. Shoutout to my wonderful team for making this happen!
